Chile will only serve as a test opposition to European sides who are about to play South American opposition at the World Cup in Russia this summer. The back-to-back Copa America winners will miss the biggest stage competition after coming sixth in CONMEBOL Qualification campaign and they are among the most shocking absentees from the competition.
This is why the new head coach Reinaldo Rueda decided to test new weapons in the following set of friendlies. Before clashes with the European World Cup hopefuls Serbia and Poland, Chile will tackle Romania who also failed to qualify for the World Cup after coming fourth in their respective group.
